Dear Judit
Thank you for helping me to make the decisions that were right for me during my second year of college. When you advised that I focus on science instead of writing and literature, I was reluctant to believe that would work for me. I liked the program I was in, even though I did not know where I was going with it. A month later, when I was feeling unchallenged and dissatisfied with my major your advice gave me the courage to change my entire focus, opting for a major in Environmental Science. I thought I would have to change my entire program and might lose membership in my Honors Society, but it turned out that options which I had never taken the time to explore were available. Without your help, I never would have thought to ask the questions and pursue the changes that were necessary. Had I decided to change my major any later, I probably would have needed to stay at college for five years instead of four. Although I may need to take a summer course to catch up, I am already on track with my new program, and have not lost any of the benefits from my former program. Thank you for teaching me so much about myself and for showing me options I had never even considered.
